This alert will send you a reminder in advance of the date the bill is due to be paid. If you want a reminder 7 days before the Due Date, put 7 in this box. If you do not want a reminder for any particular bill, simply leave the box empty.
Alerts are not usually required for bills that are being paid automatically such as loans paid by direct debit but it is advisable to set alerts for bills that are not paid automatically. The bill could be lost in the post or overlooked and with bills such as insurance, the cover lapses if the bill is not paid on time. An alert will remind you that you should have received a bill.
